As the Tokyo edition of Audio Buffer London, it brings together artists, musicians, researchers, developers, and others working with audio to test, share, and discuss projects, prototypes, software, systems, and ideas.
Projects can take any form or be at any stage of development, including music, sound art, generative audio, spatial audio, interactive works, and audio software.
FIL's audio facilities will be available alongside a multichannel setup consisting of 12 Musikelectronic Geithain monitor speakers suspended from the ceiling.
Rather than focusing only on finished works, Audio Buffer Tokyo provides a space to test works in progress, exchange ideas, and explore new possibilities in audio together.

A space where creators from various fields gather to spin threads of ideas and weave the fabric of new creation. Run by Daito Manabe, FIL aims to be a 21st-century salon where creators, artists, engineers, and musicians interact beyond boundaries — in an era where technology and art converge, and cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration are key to fostering innovation.
We are looking for one or two additional participants or groups interested in bringing an experimental audio project to test or demonstrate.
Applications will be reviewed, and selected participants will be contacted individually with further details.
Visitors who would simply like to listen and observe are also welcome.
